Prince Of Persia

Old memories flashed through when I installed "The Forgotten Sands" a few weeks back. Being one of the very fine single player games, its game content is simply fabulous. The game is set up in the age of the kings  with some mythical belief of the "sands".

The concept of the game started with the first series "The Sands Of Time". Even though the game didn't run that good in the market , it made its scratch. Released in the early 21st century, the graphics was quite better than other games coming out at that time. With this "Ubisoft" set a very good foot in the market. The prince learns about the "sands" from Princess Tamina after he was accused of his father's murder. He uses the sand and finally kills his father's real murderer i.e The Nizam - his father's chief official.

In the forthcoming years, Ubisoft launched the 2nd in the series "The Warrior Within" with such an amazing story line and two endings......I would just give a “WOW!!” to express the game. With much improved graphics than the 1st part,it started with the prince in “The Island of Time” to rescue "Kailena". Even the concept of time travel was used. The wall run feature looked great . You start off with the game, you will go through many paths which you coudn't even have imagined. The way the whole gameplay is set.....I was like "What more is left to come in the world of gaming!!!"
But it doesn't only end with the gameplay. The two endings -
1. In which you kill Kailena
2. In which you kill "Dahaka-the beast" by gaining all the nine "life upgrades" hidden deep within the gameplay environment.......I'm telling you"These life upgrades are impossible to find without a cheatbook or the youtube"

I finished the game in both the endings.

However the true ending of the game is to defeat Dahaka , rescue Kaileena and take her to your empire.

The series takes a turn in the 3rd part "The Two Thrones" where Kaileena dies and you are left to rescue your friend from "Vizier"-the prince's enemy, at the end of the game. The concept of the Dark Prince was also great. The toughest part which I found in the whole game was right after the chariot race when you face two beasts and you are to kill both of them at the same time....seriously I got stuck in this part for around 3-4 days. The ending of the game comes with defeating Viziere......I was stunned by the way the prince defeats that freaking monster..... and the best part -the game developers showed it in slow motion .

The whole series felt a setback when the 4th part “Journey Begins”was released.Atleast I felt so. Even though the graphics was much imrpoved, the story was really boring with just the Prince and Eleka swinging by and making the whole gameplay environment green.

Losing hope that the series was all screwed up with the 4th part release, I was amazed seeing the trailer of the final part "The Forgotten Sands". With stunning graphics, the game was a worldwide hit. The game runs through a wonderful story where their kingdom is attacked and Dastan-the prince and his brother fight against all skeletal and monstrous creatures which were created by the release of the sand. The gameplay of the prince killing the bird looking creatures one by one by hopping from one to the other in mid-air was simply remarkable. The game ends with the Prince killing The Ratash ultimately leading to the death of his brother Maleeq.

Waiting eagerly for Ubisoft to continue this series. It's been 3 and a half years since the last release.Even though "Assassin's Creed" has taken a wide leap in the market,I can gurantee that one release of Prince of Persia will put a sword through the Assassin's Creed.

Being new to blogging,am trying my level best to cope up. Please feel free to point out any kind of mistakes.
